Birth to Age 3
The foundations of School Readiness start in pregnancy and extend through the first three years of life. For infants and toddlers, this involves opportunities to explore and experience the world, supported by nurturing relationships.
We have established school readiness goals for children from birth to age three, based on the five essential domains of the Early Learning Framework and aligned with the California Infant/Toddler Learning Foundations.
The Early Head Start goals are aligned with both the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP IT) and Parents as Teachers (PAT). This alignment ensures we can effectively measure progress for children in both center-based and home-based settings.
